Just watched a guy (Faldo, I think) get penalized 4 strokes (2 each on 2 holes) for carrying 16 clubs. They are allowed 15. We only have room for 14. On any given course, I like to carry a combination of 2 drivers, 2 woods or hybrids, and 2 wedges. I have to give up one of these clubs every time. It only matters on 1 hole on each side, but it does matter that I don't have correct club for the distance from tee. I know I can use bigger club and reduce power, but that detracts from accuraccy (for me, anyway).
Is there anyone else who would like to carry a 15th club, or is this just another demonstration of my mediocrity?
