Ever Since his Amatuer days Tiger has used different variations of the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter. No doubt. Nike is paying him big bucks to use and endorse the new Nike Putter. As I watched him miss 5 "easy" putts, all I could think of was---why did he not have the putter that was his best friend for 18 years.  Hope it was worth it Tiger---guess you needed the money.

The game of Golf had a superstar for about 10 years in Tiger, the bloke without a shadow of doubt is a genius and by miles the most talented golfer of his era, yeh hes not your perfect role model everybody wants, but he is a genius and lets be fair Tiger is the biggest draw to any tourament in any part of the world, just hope now he is finding some form again everyone will get off his back about his private life, as it is his private life and for him to choose how he leads it andlets be fair hes done some stupid things but it could be alot worse, so i hope people concetrate on his genius golfing skills again because the Tiger of the Master 2011 is a Tiger that golf needs.

me for 1 am very glad the real Tiger is back in business as he gives the golf that buzz again :-)

Tiger isn't back.  He finished in the same spot as last year in the one tournament taylor made for him.  He has a horrible flawed swing and a swing coach who knows not what he is doing.  His putting has gone from incredible to average at best.  Golf is better without him.

Was he back on the roids again? Spitting on the greens ? Throwing or banging clubs? CURSING AFTER HIS SHOTS?

    Longshire:

Watching Tiger on the front nine today at Augusta was awesome..U could see the old Tiger emerge..from the abyss!

Great day 4 at the masters!

I had a feeling tho that the South African dude was gonna win after those two amazing holes in the beginning.

Gotta feel bad for the young Irishman who fell to pieces under the roars of the crowd and pressure...good kid..he'll be back..soon.

Really?  Augusta is the 'toughest test' in a calendar year?

    Follow golf much?  Apparently not.

Let's look at the last 10 years at Augusta, shall we? We'll not include Charl's -14 for this year:

    • 2001 Tiger  -16
    • 2002 Tiger  -12
    • 2003 Mike Wier  -7
    • 2004 Lefty  -9
    • 2005 Tiger  -12
    • 2006 Lefty  -7
    • 2007 Zach Johnson +1
    • 2008 Trevor Immelman  -8
    • 2009 Angel Cabrera  - 12
    • 2010 Lefty -16

One winner over par... 3 or 4 playoffs.. and the AVERAGE winning score at Augusta is 9.8 UNDER PAR.

Now, for contrast, let's look at the same time for the US Open:

    • 2010 Graeme McDowell - Pebble Beach Golf Links  -- 284 (E)
    • 2009 Lucas Glover - Bethpage Black Course -- 276 (-4)
    • 2008 Tiger Woods - Torrey Pines -- 283 (-1)
    • 2007 Ángel Cabrera - Oakmont -- 285 (+5)
    • 2006 Geoff Ogilvy - Winged Foot -- 285 (+5)
    • 2005 Michael Campbell - Pinehurst -- 280 (E)
    • 2004 Retief Goosen - Shinnecock Hills -- 276 (-4)
    • 2003 Jim Furyk - Olympia Fields -- 272 (-8)
    • 2002 Tiger Woods - Bethpage Black Course -- 277 (-3)
    • 2001 Retief Goosen  - Southern Hills 276 (-4)

The AVERAGE winning score for a US Open in the last 10 years is 1.4 UNDER PAR.

And if you do the math, you'll find that the Open Championship (British Open) average over the same period of time is 8.1 UNDER PAR, and the PGA is 10.7 UNDER PAR.

So, over the last ten years (2001-2010) the toughest majors are:

    1. US Open  (-1.4)
    2. Open Championship (-8.1)
    3. Masters (-9.8)
    4. PGA (-10.7)

Try again.  Have a nice day.

Wow, what do you do for a living......read these forms and decide which you need to rain down on. Still (ONE) thats (ONE) of the toughest tests they have all year. You must know that at the Masters a good shot and a complete disaster are about 2-4 inches apart on this course.

So what your ample amounts of time tell me that the Masters is 3rd toughest scoring avg amongst the majors.......that would mean that it is (ONE) of the toughest tests on tour. Thanks for your input though...nice work. Maybe statstician shall be your calling....LOL
