    PaulTon:
Paul, please don't describe this as a clash,

Too late to change this one . I do agree it can be eliminated from the event description in the future . It is commonly used in the description of these types of events here in WGT . As you have pointed out quite unnecessarily so .

The closest definition i found was :

a conflict; opposition, especially of views or interests:

    a clash between nations.

Which definitely doesn't fit here . From now on CC vs CC Interplay will suffice . Thank you Paul . Good suggestion .

I have to agree with both Paul's that distancing this great comp from WGT's joke of an inter club fiasco is the best way to go moving forward.

It looks as if this one will be played in the proper spirit of a good quality competition where sportsmanship and fun, wins over battering starter balls in an effort to chase the golden fleece. My only regret for leaving TPC for CravenDale so far is the fact I missed out on this event, so please Paul  if in the future you deem my CC worthy of a chance I'm sure we could field a squad to join in the fun.

GL to all the participants, and here's to many more great WGT friendships being made from your efforts.

    Cheers--- Ed

I'm sorry your tournament got derailed by the CC event .  We also had a tournament that was interrupted by a cc event.

It causes problems within the club .  Good luck .................

One of the GR8 advantages of these events is we are not bound by Big Brothers schedule . Easy work around . We have the flexibility to postpone and or extend the length of the event if necessary .

    UZiBerlin:

How are the two legs scored?

Let's say I win the f9 1 up and loose the b9 5&4, is it scored one point apiece (like it would be in Ryder Cup) or is it one point for my opponent because of margin of victory?

    Thanks for some clarification,

One of my guys had a question...The challenge is 2 x 9 holes OR 1 x 18 - correct?  How (or why) would you play 2 x 9 holes?   For example, if I'm playing you and I win the front 9, and then you win the back 9 - then who wins???   It's not like I can carry my 2 holes from the front 9 to the back 9.

Not sure how to answer as we've never done a 2-round tourney before.

    Both good questions .

These are two separate rounds . no matter how you play them . I suggest 2  9 hole rounds  . There are two different entities of interest here . The first being WGT and really no interest to us . Wgt will score the non counting scored match play rounds as you winning the first round and him winning the second . 1 match for you and 1 match for him that do not count for anything anyway .

As far as our CC vs CC Interplay events . We reserve the right to score our matches anyway we feel is fair and right by consensus ( as far as I am concerned ) . That being said . I think that because there is no other purpose for a win in these rounds . They are just a fun healthy competitive round . We will also score them per round . You win the first and he wins the second .

I hope that clears that up for you . Any other input is welcome .

here are a few more methods .

because there is no other purpose for a win in these rounds

Other than what we take away from it ourselves .

We have never been in a position to brag . But it sounds GR8 . Can't wait to try it . Lol .

I am trying to keep it simple . 2 rounds is a first for us as well . You know it is hard enough just to put together 2 teams . Then expecting them to play 1 round with each other in a 2 week span . Sometimes they all can't do that .

I may be pushing it with 2 rounds . But I am confident we can do this .
