I recently purchased the daytonna putter after taking my redwood out of the bag. I like Nivlac's equal distance putting tip and I prefer to use it. After spending an hour or so mapping it on the greens, these are my results for the Daytonna on tournament greens.

    Scale

    Movements

    1 Movement

    15

    3

    9

    30

    5

    9

    60

    5

    23

    90

    8

    15

    150

    10

    25

    300

    10

    49

My question is what are some other people getting as distances for each scale for the daytonna on tournament greens? Or do I have the right distances?

    Thanks in advance,

    -King

Comparing those to the Ghost and Redwood I'd say your 60 scale is a little out of whack unless that should be 13 instead of 23.

Just for reference I came up with  8  12  14  18  22  42 for the TM version of Tournament greens with the Ghost. Legend Tournament greens  are a little faster but I don't have access to them to test them ( still in Q school.)  :-)

Just went back and re-mapped my putting this morning, the results look a little better:

Something interesting that pops up when you do this for the other greens is the numerical relationship between the scales as you go from Slow to Tournament. Given that this game is all math, global changes to a set of numbers (i.e., % of increase to an entire scale) are easier to make by applying one % factor to the whole scale. The trick is finding out that % and then applying it.

Slow used to be the only speed. It was all there was when Nivlac wrote that primer. When Fast came out I did the mapping thing and discovered the difference in scales was exactly 33%.  6 became 8, 9 became 12 and so on. With 5 green speeds now I'm sure there's a constant between them, I'm just to lazy to figure it out.

FWIW-we both have 150 and 300 scales with the same moves and I get 22 and 42 for them.

Worked for me - breaks were a diff matter.

@ Jim - are your stated distances with the Ghost bud?

No, that was back before the Ghost was available to me. I've been using (on TM greens) 8  12  13  18  22  42.

    Yessir.

@misstery-Just count the moves you have and divide them into the scale.

I use something like this.   Gets me close enough every time so I avoid 3 putts .. and sometimes they even go in !!!    There's a set for each speed of greens ... although other than VFast and tourney .. it's a crap shoot for me every time ...
