I realize the solid white bar is the perfect hit.

What is the significance of the other vertical lines?  Why are they different with different clubs?  And what is the significance of them moving as you draw the club back?

I too wondered .... they seem to move a lot when the swing is held ... but I don't know the significance.

I think that when the lines get closer together it amplifies the affect of a mis-hit.  Think of it your margin of error  ... hold too long at the top of your swing, and you're more likely to hit the big slice or duck hook. Kinda works out tha way in real life too .. at least for me.

Yeah, it's all risk/reward. The harder you try to hit it, the more exact you have to be to not shank the shot. The farther back you go, the narrower the range is. Anything inside of the first seets of lines is basically a normal draw or fade...anything outside of that is a really crappy, shanked shot.
