Will these be CTTH comps, stroke or a mixture?

    Play with an LPGA Pro

    18 Aug 2010

WGT announced a partnership with the LPGA today to host their "LPGA Virtual Tour" starting October 2010, consisting of monthly tournaments and a championship in 2011. We're honored to have been selected as an online partner by some of golf's top associations--the LPGA, R&A and the USGA.

The LPGA will be giving players a chance to earn some great prizes:

    • All players who enter for free receive a 10% discount at LPGAproshop.com
    • Winner of each qualifying tournament receive tickets to an LPGA event in 2011
    • Winner of the championship tournament get a chance to play with an LPGA Pro in an LPGA Pro-Am event in 2011 (or a unique "Inside the Ropes" experience for non-golfers)

Here's the just-announced schedule for the 2010 LPGA Virtual Tour:

    • October - Pinehurst #8
    • November - Kiawah Island Ocean Course
    • December - Wolf Creek
    • January - championship course to be announced

Entering is free and play is unlimited in each of the 3 qualifying tournaments, with the top 100 players each month advancing to the championship in January, on a special course to be announced by the LPGA. Format will be a combination of stroke play and skill challenges to be announced.

Start practicing on Pinehurst #8 now, and you can officially enter after October 1, at www.WGT.com.

    Tough crowd...well I'll get rolling...

Excellent partnership, very nice marketing move, more voices in the forums, and it looks like a new Championship course.

That's a win all the way around.

    Win-win to be sure.

Welcome to the Ladies of the tour...  It's always nice to watch the LPGA on the weekends, knowing that these young ladies can beat the crap out of 99% of the testosterone crowd.
