but honestly it really does test your patience at times.

There you are, cruising along nicely in the Ready Go, looking to shoot 30/31 and you get hosed by the meter off the tee. 30 yards into the fescue. You then try to hack your ball out and it gets lost. You then succeed in hacking it out to eventually run up an 8. Any chance of a decent placing and your stake back has gone. I wouldn't mind so much if it were a one off but I suffered the same fate in a Ready Go round Kiawah earlier today, fortunately I was able to scrape a par on that hole.

I'm not asking for change, I'm not even complaining. I have posted this in an attempt to cheer up all you other souls out there suffering the same fate. Hopefully the next time it happens to you, you'll think of me. Lost credits, lost ball and nearly a stroke onto my average. :^(

    Remember your penance?    :-D

I see that 3W got you a nice eagle try on 5. I had to hit my 4i to 16 ft but blew the eagle putt for a birdie. Bummer. Only got a 32 that round.

I have a real mental block relatng to putting on that green Jim. The last 4 rounds I have 3 putted it after being on it 2, one of them was from 20 feet!

That's going to take 5 Our Fathers and 10 Hail Marys to fix.   ;-)

Lol, I thought my days of endless Our Fathers and Hail Marys were long gone. Just you wait til you hear what 25 years of not going to confession throws at you.....

Damn, that is harsh! I have done that my fair share of times though.

The game has beauty, especially after many games. A while back, I arrived at #17 at Kiawah, in a nine hole event, after 7 straight birds...then pumped 2 into the water. It got me.

My answer to relinquishing anger is a fifth of crown royal.

I too share your woe at this hole having done exactly the same thing. When I say exactly I really mean that I hadn't rattled off 7 consecutive birdies just prior and it was 3 balls pumped into the drink. :^)
