  I think he might be talking about some games ending for no apparent reason. I know I see it quite regularly playing alt shot and most times the game ends early on. There is a popup that says "game ended with no winner" or something similiar to that.

  This happens when a player quits. There is still a winner even though it says game ended with no winner. The win will show on your profile page if it was a player on the other team that quit. 

  However, I'm not 100% sure who gets the win if the quitter's team was winning. I had one specific time that made me wonder.
