I have been killing time this month messing around on nbr 1 here. I have kept detailed notes and here are some results. With over 40 attempts made, I have seen the back flag placement 1 time. I have lost 8 Callaway balls in the burn, 2 were my stupidity the others were unexplainable. Ex: 46 yrds to hole, 14 mph wind at 12:00, hit a 64 wedge with no spin at all to be safe. Hit 40 yrds, dinged the shot, it went straight in the burn. I would have expected the ball to go 10 yrds past the flag. Wasn't shooting for score, just for practice. I am not complaining or whining. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Question: Why is the back flag placement so rare. Nbr 10 on SA changes almost every game.

When the pin is up I have found that playing to the ydg stated is better. Head & Tail wind hardly affect the ball if you're inside of 80 yds.  You do have to accomodate the pin with any left or right wind though.

I would have hit my 64W, the max: 50 yds with BS. just to be safe.
