in playing the weekly 9, i'm feeling like my tour burner irons are performing differently as compared to bethpage.  given the same conditions and lie on both course (30/40% rough etc), i hit it farther on kiawah.  the same is true from the fairway.  i can regularly hit 7i-60LW farther to the greens (even when i don't "ding" it) on kiawah.

i could be losing my mind... but if i'm right... would you consider this a bug/deviation... or impressive realism?

it would make sense that the grass on bethpage is THICKER overall.  in the game it looks thicker.  and in real life... bethpage is located in a green, lush, thick, tree towering, state park.  kiawah is on the ocean where grass would be thinner... and in the game it looks thinner.

thinner grass, farther shots, thicker grass, shorter shots.

Wait for it. Try searching for deviations in that search box.

The rough, fairway, bunkers and other surfaces vary depending on the course.

    yes they do visually.

if you can answer... keeping all other conditions the same, will a 20-30% lie in the rough on kiawah permit a club to be truer to its distance than on bethpage?
