    This one was interesting...BTW , it played as a 30-40% rough as it indicated...luckily.

    Nice catch.  Were you able to send in a bug report?  In the future you can label the bug report on that (in the title box) as a "Surface Map Issue".

    Yes , i sent a bug report. "Surface Map Issue"   ok I will...thnx Niv. And if it helps any i think I titled it "Clearly in the bunker" on the report.

    I didn't bother to report it (as it would have called attention to a 97 on Oakmont) but on 3 different holes I was on the fringe inside 12 ft from the pin and I tried to chip 3 times on each hole. The ball never even moved. I pitched at 3 ft speed and had putts from 18 to 34 ft back uphill. Needless to say two quadruple bogeys and a quintuple did nothing for my "enjoyment" of the round.

    Just missed making the cut on that one. Ha Ha.

    When the ball is rolling across the green and it looks about to trickle off I find myself screaming (to my wife's enjoyment I'm sure) ....."Get in the rough"

    just out of curiosity,   why  not  putt  if on the fringe, inside 12 ft from the pin?
