Hi all. I am just wondering if anyone can offer assistance in a problem I have? I have 2 laptops, an Acer Aspire 5740G and an Acer Extensa 5235. They are both 15.6 inch monitors with 1366x768 resolution. When I play WGT on the 5235 I can get full screen in 1024x768. On the 5740G however no matter what I do I always get 2 black bars either side of the screen so having to play WGT in 4.3 mode. Does anyone know anything that may be stopping the 5740G going into full screen mode without the black bars. All other games I play go into full screen mode no problem, its just WGT it happens too?

I have windows 7  32bit on the 5235 and windows 7 64bit on the 5740G if this makes any difference?

Thank you in advance for any help offered!! Please help me to play my favorite golf game in style on my favorite laptop!! :-)

    Cheers!!!

Ive tried IE8 32 and 64 bit and FireFox ;-)

Flash doesn't work in the 64bit version of IE as you may well know.

Ah sorted it now :-D. I had to change to 1024x768 and then change to stretch screen in graphics settings. It wouldn't let me do it otherwise.

What is the best resolution to play WGT in full screen?

I use 1200 x 800, the max for this Toshiba laptop 15" screen. I am also using a 64 bit OS and Firefox/Chrome.

Full screen in Firefox is a bit buggy but the way you get there if F11 doesn't work is right click on the toolbar icon for the browser. Hit restore and then F11. Works every time. Right click on the tool bar and uncheck Show Toolbars if you want to git rid of them too or you can auto-hide the toolbar in your Toolbar Settings.

There are no issues with Chrome and I suggest you give it a try. Doesn't mess anything up, is free and one click install without restart. GL.
