Some good time ago the company made the decision that tiers are chocolate badges.  This is in line with the philosophy of dumbing down generally.  You can play the clash and they will call you a winner if you spend enough, and even give you special tee boxes and a gold coloured putter.

At least TL was once genuinely an accomplishment.  Bow "chumps" are running around with "super low averages", and frankly so many are genuinely rubbish.  Put them in a RG and a farce, not that you see them there as ...rubbish...but have the badge.

Is what it is.  Don't pay any heed to the latest New Ideas irrelevance........................Tiers stopped meaning anything some time ago.

"Advance to TL to earn 225 cr". Wonder what the Champions find there?

    It is only lousy 250cr.

Yeah, but it's $2.50 US. The way our exchange rate is tanking, that's almost a down payment on a car...oi vey

No it's not - in-game items have no monetary value (see T&Cs).

And, 250 should be the value shown to TLs on their way to Champ.

It might save you some change though that you don't have to spend, if only you'd become a TC, and this is certainly not available by lowering your average!

Do people play this game merely to progress in tiers?

It's not much different to some people who study martial arts just for the belts.  They spend so much time talking about what colour piece of cloth they wear around their waist, that they lose sight of the true reason for it all.
