Let's celebrate Labor Day!
What better way than with another of Icon's Challenges?
Not since the Labors of Hercules has anyone devised such devious challenges. For those who have participated before - prepare for more frustration, impatience and disbelief. For those new to these challenges - well you'll find out soon enough! Are you perhaps thinking the new 'Shot Clock' gets the game over too quickly? Well here is just the opposite!!!
Hercules ready for the Challenge - holding an early model 400K Gold Putter
This is a Labor that might be more enjoyable than any of Hercules', but I can't say it will be any easier!
This time we are off to the Home of Golf - it will be the 7th at St. Andrews for a Longest Putt Competition.
You must enter using the 1-hole Practice-Play menu so that everyone experiences the same conditions and pin location.

There is no restriction on Balls or Equipment -- but it is a Putting Competition, so a Putter must be used.

- 10 Prizes on offer - only 1 prize per person.
- Longest Putt = 4 sleeves of your choice of balls
- In the event of distance ties - 1st to post breaks ties
- 2nd place to 5th place = 2 sleeves of your choice of balls
- minimum qualifying distance = 150 ft and 1st to post breaks ties
- 6th place to 10th place = 1 sleeve of your choice of balls
- minimum qualifying distance = 125 ft and 1st to post breaks ties
How to Enter:
- Post your replay in this thread.
- Post your scorecard which shows the exact distance of your putt holed.
- Nominate your ball type preference - in case you win a prize.
Entries will be accepted with only the replay - however without the scorecard showing the distance to 2 decimal places - your distance will be assumed to be the lowest possible according to the replay. For example - replay shows 130ft, then your distance will be taken to be 129.50 ft as this is the lowest that would have rounded up to the 130ft shown in the replay.
The Challenge will run for the 3 days of the Labor Day long weekend, from Saturday September 3 through to the end of Monday September 5 (midnight PDT).
I will post a progressive Leader Board throughout the weekend.
For those who have not participated before and are a little confused as to how you play a "Longest Putt Competition" from the tee -- All you need to do is Drive up to the green, and get your ball into a suitable starting position -- then you can use the Mulligan feature to have many tries at holing the damn thing!

- Labor Day long weekend through to end of Monday (midnight PDT)
- Must use a putter
- Enter by posting Replay and Scorecard

One Final Word -- It is with a heavy heart that I set up this - Icon's 6th Challenge - remembering that for the last 4 of them that I have run, I have done so with the able assistance of my friend andyson, who so recently was taken from us. Perhaps spare a moment to wish his family well, and his spirit peace.
