These looks fine, although I'd prefer them to be 1 hole only between each tier. 5 holes is a huge advantage on some courses. It would be very difficult to beat a half decent Master, playing from shorter tees on St. Andrews, for example.

    And I'm definitely in ;-)

I have a question: Can handicaps be set up when creating the game? If not, this concept is not applicable. What if we say that a M has an advantage of 6 holes vs. a Champ, and the Champ wins after 14 holes with 5up? Has he won the handicapped match or not? He will probably win another hole or two, but who knows?

Or do we just say that a Champ has to win with at least 5up to win the match?

    Greetings, oh divine one ;-)

It works like this, when someone has a 6 handicap, it means you're required to concede 6 holes to him. It's predetermined by the tourney organiser, which holes these are. Then you effectively need to win by at least 6 up (to force extra holes) over the remaining 12 holes you actually get to play.

That's why I'm in favour of lesser handicaps ;-)

Thanks for the explanation, good to know! Then there is a huge difference between 5, 6 and 7. Winning 5 holes out of 13 should be possible, but winning 7 out of 11 is extremely hard and impossible without the "help" of the opponent. I think any handicap above 6 is too high.
