  Of these (4) course which one do you feel is the best for a newbie to play and which one is the easiest to play?

  Bethpage Black

  Kiawah

  Oakmont

  St. Andrews

  First, welcome to the site, hope you grow to enjoy it.

  IMHO, in order of easier to harder:

   

  St. Andrews

  Kiawah

  Bethpage Black

  Oakmont

  Concur also,but I agree too.

  Except that you know whatty? I would just start right off with Oakmont because the thing is,just because youve read that its hard will by definition,make it harder for YOU to play.Already you are defeated unless you go there,and just play like you had no care in the whole world,smile,and your clubs smile upon you.Works for me anyway.

  I would suggest that you play equal rounds on each of them to get a true scoring average.  Playing at St Andrews and Kiawah with low winds gives you the lowest scores, but as you progress those arent that easy any more.  Plus the fairways and greens are very different from course to course.
