I have been very frustrated with my pitch shots close to the green.  Even when I pick the right distance and hit the ball on the it may only dribble an inch or two.  Sometime not even that.  It is very irritating.  Is there nay secret to hitting this type of shot?

It sounds like you're trying to swing less than 70%. This is a big no-no as you can tell now. The Chip and Pitch Tips is where you want to go------------>.  GL

Guy, use the punch shot to get out of the deep rough or bunker, and pitch/chip shots from the light rough. Keep an eye on your lie percantage, it will determine what type of shot to use for diffrent lie types. Remeber this during your practice rounds.

When putting from the fringe, use the caddy's suggested putting scale, and don't hit a fringe putt with a scale less than 60 or you'll just whiff your shot. A 90 putting scale is ideal for most fringe putts.
