  Ok,it's official.........ball duration is about 50% less than it used to be......I found my stats on # of hits on a ball ,we are way below that avg.How come WGT?

  Just posted in a similar thread...I tested the L81 Nike and counted 117 hits (didn't count putts of course) and may have under-counted by a hit or two.  Balls with 2.5 durability usually get in the neighborhood of 120 hits, so I can't say anything has changed.

  I just used a brand new cally ball with 2.5 durability. I got 118 hits off of it. Not practice or mulligans. Played the Bandon F9 from red tees to make it easier to hit greens, and grab some xp's while doing it. I only counted hits, not putts.

  Where are the stats on # of hits on a ball found?

  So my 120 hits 2.5 durability Nike ball should only be good for about 60 hits now?

  At my scoring average I get right about 54 holes (since putts don't count as hits, about 40 hits per 18 hole round) out of each Nike ball I have always gotten.

  I have done a test on the platinum Nike level 90 several months ago. Hits 165 including the putts (no mulligans). Back then did not know that putts do not count, so, few days ago i decided to test them again using the same method (strokes+putts). The result was 170 strokes (no mulligans).

   

  Now, this result is certainly not full proof because i can't tell how many of them were strokes or putts. However the method was the same as the previous test...various courses in play. Can't be sure though because i never counted in the past only the strokes.
