hey guys im about to try out the Ping tour w 54 deg 105 yrd, I have always since the start used the satins taylormade just want some feed back on any difference in play in general... few of my friends said it had alot more spin even though the satins show half a dot extra........

It's a quality club, great spin.  The only downside that I find is that it flies extremely high, higher than any other wedge on the game, so you really have to be careful with it in high winds.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the spin attributes stated in the pro shop, many discrepancies among the brands/tiers etc.

Hey Sayo, i've been using this club for 3 weeks (replaced my old 100y) and i love it. As Bollie says, it flies very high, that's why i would recommend never use FULL backspin unless you're playing with tailwind, or you may lose 5+ yards.

The bigger difference, and probably the reason i prefer it over the 100y wedge, is that punch shot (87y) stops way faster than any other punch over 70 yards.

thats what I have heard.. the punch shot stops very well .. My first shot with this club resulted in a missed dinger not by much but was almost holed out for an eagle.. i think the extra precision will be very helpful. Thanks aswell angeltotti for the info and being helpful guys. much appreciated

If you go with that club, to me the best set up is also to play the 85 yd Ping and the 64 degree 60 yarder.

Including OW this allows for full shots of 115, 105, 85, 60.

    Punches 98, 87, 71 49.

Pitches chips and flops are very well spaced too.

    Pitch 34, 25, 17

    Flops 39, 29, 19

    Chips 17, 12, 7

Lots of different set ups out there and many elite players might disagree but I've holed well over 500 shots and find this compilation top notch.

it would be so hard for me to get rid of my 50yrd love that thing but I think the 60yrd might be the best choice. Ill buy one tonight and try it out maybe things will work out thanks for the info jake cheers bud

115-98-87-75-62-50-41 is a good way to keep that 50y i could not live without either.

the 50 yrd prob the only club i have never switched lol.. but then when I sit back and think about it there has been many shots around the green where i wished I had a flop that was more than 15yrds and less than the 26 .. maybe a 19 yrd flop is just what I wanted lmao.. im going to try it out!!! haha

well both thoes clubs have crazy spin, started jumping shots right back to the hole. will take some time to dial them in , but the punch shots are like having a 4th and 5th wedge in the bag. would like to see some updates in the proshop because these clubs have way more stopping power
