How frustrating is it when players quit after one or two bad shots. Unfortunately it seems to be the higher ranked, tour pro or master players who do it most often. Are they worried about the average score going up? In the real world no one would just walk off the course. It will make for a much more realistic experience if the system penalised them for sloping off, sulking just because a couple of duff shots had gone into the trees or they had three putted.

At least in matchplay, if they quit you get the win. And the defeat stays on their record forever.
