I was trying to explain to a friend about the number of ranked rounds you need in each tier to advance. When I told him it was 500 to go from TM to legend he said I was wrong, he than showed me stats of a legend that has less than 50 ranked round and a TP with 4000 ranked rounds - am I wrong or is their a scale for tier advancement that is new

It's 500 for L to TL, TM is a lot less.

No, you're almost right. LOL. It's only 50 (might be wrong on the exact number)  for TMs and normally it takes 500 RRs as a Legend to get to TL along with an average below 60. The number of rounds doesn't mean anything unless the average is right. That Legend with less than 50 RRs got there by beating a Legend or TL in MP (as a TM) and was pushed into the higher tier. This is WGT working against sandbagging.

As far as ranked rounds go & my scoring average, ive advanced tiers, took me about 4 months to reach legend with over 500 r.r , I remember a player when I was in the masters tier shooting lights out! ( ROAREMACKELROY) made it to tour legend with a 108 ranked rounds.....WOW.....

This is WGT working against sandbagging, not the norm.
