I hope OTE is sitting down....................but I agree with you.

The division and lack of unity was exemplified by the antics of Phil, before, during and after the cup.

I think Phil is a terrific player and has been great for the game, but he is not above the game and any team is a strong as the weakest link - this cup I saw him being that link.

This is a TEAM effort, so the bonding of a team is crucial to it's success.

Whether Azingers formula would work, I am not sure, but it surely would be more successful that the current system.

I would like to see the team together for at least a week prior to the event, no exceptions. These guys earn buckets loads, they can afford not to play on tour for a couple of weeks and if the pride of playing for your nation (or continent) is not there, then you do not deserve to be in the team.

I don't think that Azinger was the answer that year, I think that Faldo was the downfall of the european team.

We had a captain that knew only nr 1

So that we have learned from that ever since, and you yanks have not!

There has to be a reason why Tiger has underperformed  at most RC's

maybe it is the the poor sportsmanship from the American fans that give the EU team an edge ?

This combined with a lack of leadership by Watson put our so called "team" behind the 8 ball before the first shot was taken.
