for those of you on the fence about buying new clubs,   if you want to compete at the high levels  you NEED to get  them.  I have been a member here for just over a year  played tons of ranked rounds  and thought this is as good as it gets,    I tried competeing in the opens and it was a joke,  tried the CTTP ( closest to the pin )  and  just gave up on ever getting close in those either,   then  yesterday I got the new set of Irons  with spin  and in one day got real close to the top 100 in the CTTP at the hawaii course,  best before this was like 400 something,   It IS the clubs!  Because I am  getting old and dont have the reflexs I used to   I dont think I can get much better in the opens,   BUT   if I improved as much as I did the FIRST day  I got the new irons,  I think I can at least  be what I consider competetive.

PS also got a couple new wedges and balls.

Welcome to the G10 lovers club...lol...Excellent choice...It makes the meter tolerable, for me anyway.Throw in the GI SD 2 and LOOK OUT!!!!!!!...Now theres a combo that's hard to beat...Imho

    Larry

Edit* even though I get beat on a regular basis...It's still a good combo...lol

Wiz, wait till you get your yardages down.  Add the wedges, and you will be tough to beat.

Wiz ... you will love the G10 irons.   The R9 driver is a bit longer but more erratic than the G10 driver .. I recently  went back to the G10 .. find myself playing better than ever.

By the way I very rarely play the CTTP contests ... but did i miss something ? Did did WGT announce a Hawaii course ???

    G10 opinion request.......

I recently purchased the I15 iron set, and paid the extra as the distances were sigthly longer than the G10's, and the accuracy was slightly higher (with all other categories being the same.) I've never test drove either set, and went right for more bang for my buck, lol.  Did I mess up passing on the G10's?

These are the master level ones, if it matters!
