I can assure you all that the problem of playing out of the mulch is not an error in the game's physics, otherwise WGT would have fixed it a long time ago !!
I've been playing on here for over 15 months now and I've had very similar experience as Marmont did on Kiawah #7 (previous page) and I've worked out that the best way to get out of mulch is to hit a FULL shot with any wedges club (long irons does not work !). You'll find that at full power you'd get only about 55-60% of the club's yardage but you do get out ! Important thing here is to hit the shot perfect as the slightest miss sometimes will not work !
Try it out for yourself, if you executed the shot exactly as i've said here, I'll guarantee 100% it will work for you !
