neildiamond you fuc@king beaut.; do you think that site users can instigate threads in perfect isolation from political introspection? Resosv, or whatvever, starts a thread which highlights the circumstance of Pearl Harbour and directs users to a website that euligises the crew of Enola Gay, a crew that was criminally contracted by a political administration to wipe out hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children in order to demonstrate the military power of the western axis vis-a vis the soviet bloc, in order to make a poitical statement that might is right, and you have the audacity to question the integrity of other users of this site who may disagree with the perceived historical analysis of that seminal day in the history of mankind, and accuse such skeptics as being "bored"!

Have you ever challenged your own political perspective of history, which you have obviously gleaned from daytime TV, and compared it to what is reported on say, perhaps, wikileaks. and thought for one second............."hey, this isn't how it was reported on Fox News".

I pity the likes of you, I really do.

Get a grip Yak, are you that pathetic and bored that you need to go there in this post when its sole purpose is to honor people who died while in service for their country?

Thanks Neil, You took the words .......

There are people that will never learn, Lee. But WGT should. This is the moment, before the thread goes any further, when the comments of certain people should be deleted.

    Cry more.

At first I thought Assange was a fraud because I heard nothing bad about Israel for a long time, because Israel claimed before the cables were released that they were not going to be damaged by the cables, and because I saw Assange quote Netanyahu, but then I saw a David Duke youtube video titled "Wikileaks shows Zionist treachery" or something similar to that.  I thought to myself, "David Duke must have completely lost it... Wikileaks didn't release any material about Israel!"

And then I watched the video... lol.  Boy, was I wrong.

Funny how, out of all the cables, the ones that were the most damaging were about Israel... but no mainstream source said anything about them.  CNN posted it on their web site, tucked away where no one could see it, but that's about it.

Hillary did it too, of course.  You probably saw her little press conference where she reminded everyone of the memo that said even Saudi Arabia wants to attack Iran, as if that meant something.  News Flash:  Saudi Arabia helped finance Iraq's invasion of Iran in 1980.  It's pretty common knowledge that Saudi Arabia is the US' #1 puppet state in the region, but Hillary forgot to mention that.  She also forgot to mention the cables about Israel.  Sorta funny what she chooses to and not to talk about.

Yak, blah blah blah, make as many assumptions of me as you want.  You know nothing of me, what I know on WW2 or what political background I come from.  Make assumptions, pull what you need from a large linked site to make more assumptions on "criminally contracted".  I have read enough in my life to know what I read is only a single variation of an event and not to be considered hard fact.  Your argument is the war, any war needs to be justified to you, so anyone involved in that war you dont agree with had no purpose of being part of the unjust war you think it was.

The crew of the enola gay, named after a crew members mother, followed orders.  You think they knew what the bomb could do?  You think aside from a handful of phycists for the Manhatten Project knew what it would do?  From their lips, the crew only knew what they carried would end the war.  Thats what they tell us, but like all other things who really knows.  Did you know some of the crew were still doing operations in Japan weeks later even staying in Japan, escorting politicians and scientists?  Guess those criminals didn't lose their jobs for doing their jobs.  Whats that part in The Charge of the Light Brigade.

Get a grip boss.  It was a post on remembering the fallen, not political.  Take your political BS home and take those religious freaks with you that are going to soldier funerals protesting gays in the military.  I put you in the same league because neither of you have business in the areas you demonstrate your agenda.  You are the unfortunate person with knowledge, unable to be respectful of anothers views that are not your own.  The best part of all of this, you and I probably can speak and agree on many aspects of many different things, but you are not the type to discuss with, only argue with, that is your personality.

    Enjoy, NeilD

And I just love Charles comments on how we provoked and knew of the attack.  I am sure that FDR wanted to have our pacific fleet completely decimated, save for some aircraft carriers.  And show me the timeline where we knew about the attack and could have warned or prevented it?  Where is the f*cking sense in you morons?  An attack we could have prepared for on Pearl Harbor would still have caused the necessary outrage that American public needed to back a war on Japan, thats your argument Yak  and Charle, that FDR wanted war but knew US population wouldn't back it?.  An attack we "chose" to do nothing on is just stupidity.  We all know that everyone  in that era was rocking smart phones, and the military had satelite imaging and GPS to track all movements in the area.  They used basic radar which didn't really tell you who were friendlys and who were not.  I mean the recorded blips seen that morning were thought to be returning friendlys.

I believe if you want to look at who was provoked you will see it was the Japanese pacific activities that provoked our embargo.  Our embargo then provoked the Japanese to strike the Pacific fleet which they saw as the only thing capable of hindering there plans.  Unfortunately they stirred the hornets nest and while the attack was a huge success it was also the thing that doomed them.

Its like you forget the reason for the actual war, like we were responsible for Japans Pacific domination.  Do you both recall what Japan was doing before and after Pearl Harbor?  Can you not try to see that dropping the bomb actually saved more lives foreign and domestic?  I know thats hard to believe but look at the estimates that were optimistically given, 30-35% US losses, 300K deaths per month until a November invasion of Japan would even start.  Japan promising 25 Million troops, including all men, women and children armed to fight.  The bombings alone in Japan leading up to the invasion would have taken more lives then both Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined  We are talking casualties in the millions.  It was those figures that gave the powers that be enough cause to want to use the bomb.  It absolutely sucks that this is what was determined was necessary, and it is so awful a thing to do, and its even worse for the people of Hiroshima (would have been Kyoto if not for scientists love of the city during his honeymoon) then Nagasaki, but the bottom line is that it worked.  If not the bomb, then what?

Who cares about Lennon? No washed-up, dead musician will ever equal 3000+ American service men who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. You're just another Liberal looking to blame America for all the things in America's history you disagree with and would love to see the fall of America, and the world economy. Just like those idiots at wikileaks.

There should be a world collaboration to round-up all the people associated with wikileaks, and hang them all in a public square.

Geez Rich, no one compared Lennon's shooting to the Pearl Harbor attack!  Though you're too young to remember Beatlemania, there was no call to disrespect Lennon.  It was merely mentioned as another conspiracy FFO thing by Yak.  Also Lennon was not washed-up at age 40 (younger than you). Just so you know, his Double Fantasy album released just 3 weeks before he was shot won the '81 Grammy for Album of the Year.

I am surprised that this thread turned into poop slinging...

In the future, please take this outside the forum.
