  from my facebook profile it said i completed all the necessary steps to make Pro Tier, yet I am still rated amateur. why do i not have Pro status yet?

  Because your average is still over 80 I would guess.

  I'm a HACK, how does one move up in tiers? Do I have to purchase anything?

  you must play and get better scores till ur average drops than you will move to different tiers..

  Exactly, you would need to get your average below 80.

  Just play in the free tourneys and if you shoot below 120 and unless you just don't watch what you are doing at all you will advance to the amateur tier. No need to buy anything yet. unless you want a better putter but the only putters available to hacks and amateurs is the Spider and the Anser. If you decide to upgrade your putter I would advise to choose the Anser it seems better than the Spider though it does have a slighty faster meter.

  That said, you should be looking to get into pro tier with the starter clubs, it's easy enough... then when you reach pro tier a lot of clubs become available to purchase, most of which are significantly better than the one's you have available to you at Hack and Amateur Tier...
