    Why?

Past Tourneys have not been USA only and always include other countries that allow gambling etc. such as Germany, Canada etc.

Now the pot got sweetened and we got cut out of the action....

    Hey Jay,

There are two different 'Week 3 Multiround Opens' one is of the free variety (actually called 'Week 3 Free Multiround Open") and is open to Canada and other countries.  Then there is the 100CR Premium 'Week 3 Multiround Open' which is U.S. only with restrictions on many U.S. states.

I think the issue is, someone pay an entry fee of 100 credits to play for gifts or prizes, but can't play for credits.  Perhaps I'm wrong, but, examining the multi-round tournaments would show exactly that.

To me they both have a monetary value associated with it.  If you place well in the tournament the payout is in credits.  Hence, one may not need to use ones credit card to buy credits to be used in the pro-shop.
