Considering our rather limited number of venues, I think it would be a great idea to impliment a system whereby pin placements are cycles. Perhaps 3 or 4 locations per hole, cycled every other day. This would certainly provide a great deal in the way of realistic scoring conditions. The birdie holes would be come moderately difficult on certain days, and the more demanding holes, such as the par 4 that can quite rarely be reached in regulation, might become both easier and more difficult on certain days.
Varying pin locations would also make play a bit less monotonous. Having been stuck with the Black Course front nine for quite some time now, new pin locations would provide a breath of fresh air.
