While playing a CTTP round I dropped one in the cup from the fairway. For some reason the programing has awarded me a tin hole in one award. Since my shot was from the fairway no such award is warranted. It cheapens the real hole in one.

If you notice, it is a different award in your profile from a 'real' Hole in One.  But yes the term should probably change to a "Hole Out", unless of course in the CTTP you happen to be on one of the holes that puts you on the tee block, that should count as a real Hole in One.  The first hole on the Wolf Creek challenge comes to mind.
