How do you send a friend clubs that you own.
You can't give away "owned" equipment. You'll have to gift them by purchasing them using the "send as a gift" method.

No but you can sell it back to the pro shop for 25% of its value.
All you have to do is look at his profile and see that he sent the clubs as gifts which means he used the send as gift option in the pro shop.
