The right to left break is applied to the ball as it rolls towards the hole.
The player has purposely missed the Ding! to the right to allow for the break of the green, instead of moving the aim point to the right of the hole and hitting the Ding!.
When there is more break some players do both - move the aim point and purposely miss the Ding! by an amount that results in holing the putt.
