It should not take longer to play 18 holes on the computer than it does to walk 18 holes in real life.

    In other word's,

Your game play experience is only as good as your provider, And your PC. (Laptop and what not).?

    ApexPC:

Apex, this is not in any way supposed to be a dig at you, (honest) this is a genuine question.

I'm by no means a total anti-WGT but neither am I a total defender of them, they have issues in my opinion that need fixing but overall it's a wonderful game. But to my question, (and I suspect that of many others).

If what we are  experiencing here is NOT a WGT issue, i.e. it's our PCs our ISP, our connection then why on Earth can we play other much more complicated games without the issues we get on WGT?

As an example, I regularly play secondlife, this is a very PC intensive game (indeed when I bought my laptop 3 years ago it was top end specifically because I wanted to continue to play secondlife) on secondlife I'm often a DJ, to do this I need to stream music, usually from my hard drive, but quite often someone makes a request I haven't got so at the same time I will go to a site (cough cough this is China remember) and download it while at the same time still streaming music AND manipulating my avatar AND talking. My ISP connection is only 12Mbs but has huge issues over it dropping below that for 3 - 5 seconds, secondlife just lags (goes a bit slow), WGT freaks out and disconnects.

Why is WGT so sensitive, when other much more demanding sites are not?

    Well said, Chinajohn.

I won't hold my breathe for a reply from the WGT apologists, tho.
