  Hey, I have been here for a bit, and I love it. I would appreciate any advice on improving my game, slowing down the meter, figuring out how to chip out of the rough....etc....

  At your level you might want to look at changing to the Ping Rapture Driver and Fairway wood. The hybrids are something I never used. There are 3 wedges I carry but Zsatin pro 60, Zsatin Master 60 and the Zsatin 64. You cannot use the Master 60 yet. Change you putter to the Rossa Daytona, great meter speed and touch.

  Chip

  If more than 2 yards from green never, ever use chip shot. Remember a chip is 25% air and 75% roll. I always use backspin when using the chip shot. If you are not using the flop shot or the punch shot, practice it and learn it.....

  I am sure others will add more but those are just a few tips from this peanut gallery guy!

  Hi beast,

  Here's a great article on chipping and pitching that was written by one of our long-time members.  It's definitely worth a read for anyone having trouble with the short game aspect.

  When im out 20 -30 40 yds out i use a punch shot it work's better 4 me try it out.

                    JMO   but  I cant remember the last time  I chipped  here,   I have never had sucess with it,  I pitch or flop.   If  I am  off the green more then 3 yrds and the shot is 15 or more I flop,  if I am within that 3 I pitch.
