I am new to WGT. I didn't bother to check previous posts to see if this has been suggested before. I would like to be able to choose my putter when I am just a few inches off the green beyond the fringe. Wedges are just to unpredictable at such close proximity to the hole especially on the undulating greens.

You can!  And I do all the time on St. Andrews! (not recommended anywhere else) You just select putt from the shot type menu, but it will display the length in yards so be careful.  And of course you need to add a bit more power.

Lee-Is there a particular place or set of circumstances where you use it off the green?

Aside from the new CTTH #3 (hint hint)... it all depends on the circumstance... I've used it a few times on #9 with some good results, and a few other places, but not often.
