    More of a question.....

Recently in a multi-ranked round, I hada guy that dropped 3-4 times without joining, and finally decided to join. in conversation he said he hesitated because when he gets in rounds with anyone of a master level, the winds are higher than rounds without a master.

Is their a direct correlation between wind speeds and the presence of a master tier player in ranked rounds? If so, it might be a consideration to open up mixed tier rounds to at least a small percentage of reduced wind speed rounds.

Not that we should have every round available to fire at the pins, but some rounds would help prevent lower tiers from purposely NOT joining masters, and losing out on the possibility of advice and help with their game.

No correlation on wind speeds between tiers.  The range of wind speeds you'll experience on the Moderate setting as a Hack are the same range that you will experience as a Master.  However, you will notice that the ranges vary between courses (ie Moderate on St. Andrews are generally higher speeds than Moderate on Bethpage) so your friend may have developed a misconception because of that.

The only course conditions that are tier specific are pin difficulty (where applicable), green speed and the tees you play from.
