  Over the last few days I've noticed a dramatic lessening of the effect that wind speed and direction  has. Previously well played shots that accounted for wind effect aren't curving as they used to - or is it just me?

  Example: 130 yard shot to pin; 14 mph east to west - adjusted at the pin to account for the wind, hit the ding and it just went straight; no curve in the air at all - landed at pin height, 8 feet to the right.

  I've had that happen too,...but in real golf, as I understand it,..a well struck golf ball ( on the screws) will be a lot less affected than one which has hook or slice spin! So perhaps the same holds true here as well!

   

  My problem is with shots inside 100 yds,.....20 mph head winds...I give shot a ew extra yds and ...come up LONG!!!  No wind effect! 

   

  20 mph tail wind, from 100 yds......take off a few yds......looking for assist.....come up short!!!  So I contend...inside 100 yds......ignore the wind!
