  Went into 18 all tied up when Jim ran into some trouble off the tee.

  Yeah, I hit it dead center in the fairway, 26 yards out. Silly me, I should have hit it into the rough like Dan did. Maybe then I could have stuffed it to 2" like he did instead of punching 3 yards long and missing the putt. :-(

  Last 16, Round 1, Match 3, Tie #4

  tseeqhim (Carolina Sandhills) vs. millatrotta (Victoriae CC)

  tseeqhim wins 1 UP on 4th extra hole

  It was a tremendous match that really could've gone either way. tseeqhim was 2 UP/dormie on the 17th tee, but millatrotta dropped a huge eagle putt to extend the match to 18. Then, millatrotta hit a fantastic shot out of 40-50% rough to 3 feet for an easy birdie, squaring the match and sending us to extra holes.

  We halved the first three extra holes with matching pars. tseeqhim was very lucky to stay alive when millatrotta's 5.5 foot birdie putt lipped out on the long par 3 3rd. Both players bombed their drives into the fairway on the 4th hole. millatrotta's approach landed 5 yds away, below the hole, and tseeqhim hit his wedge to 3.1 feet. millatrotta's birdie putt just missed below the hole, and tseeqhim made his putt to end the match.
