Chipping & Driving on the green

    I am getting fed up with these show offs that get the pitcher out on the green to avoid the slope. Some real smart asses even get the driver out if the ball is within one foot of the hole and with a full swing they drive the ball one foot into the hole.

    I was always lead to believe that you where not allowed to use anything other than a putter on a putting green. Or is my knowledge of the rules of golf incorrect?

    It is, in fact, incorrect.  You may use any club off the surface of the green (much to the dismay of many greenskeepers).  But it is generally frowned upon unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing....
