Uneven Lies Ryder Cup @ Chambers Bay: Oct2015

  Hello.

  The same times as last Ryder Cup for Mark and me. Is it OK?

  Mark is in Turkey - he will be back on 19th October.

  Great to see Captain's Picks made, and so many Time Availability entries already submitted. Thank you!

  However, Team USA is having some challenges raising its team with three players unavailable and two others inactive for over a month. Captain Russ and I are working on finding replacements. Here is the current Team situation:

  Sorry for the late submission of my availabilities guys, done now.

  1st, glad to see Rock and Geoff back in the group!!! Welcome back boys, I was confident Russ would stick with experience and quality for the captain picks (actually he told me months ago he would ;))

  Then, after the qualifiers and confident that Rock and BK would join, I was happy to see that team USA was stronger than for the last edition.

  But, Ross and Shankette "UNAVALAIBLE". Does it mean now? or for the whole event? If it's the case, then the loss for team USA is huge!

  Ben not playing for months? I hope everything is ok for him!!!  Akash has been brilliant during the qualifiers, I hope he is just in Washington practicing his swing to be on top of his game for the event and he will show up stronger than ever!!! (maybe with Ben, maybe they started some kind of private relationship together lol)

  4 great players are missing now and tough to find equal substitutes for Captain America. 

  We need everybody here to compete with Joe's team (congrats to the new ROW captain!)  

  Anyway, we will finally find some fun again in this game!!!! Thanks Corwyn again for being on top for all us!

  Which Tournaments are considered to be "Qualifiers"?

  Hi Young46!

  Well, the qualifiers were the weekly UEL 18 hole tourneys back in the Spring (when those tourneys still existed, but that's another long story!).

  I've been running UEL Tours for the past couple of years, and one of the incentives for players has been to try and secure automatic qualifying spots for the UEL Ryder Cup.

  Full details are in this thread.

  However, we've now reached a point where no less than 5 Team USA players are either now inactive, or just unable to fit the UEL Ryder Cup into their schedule over the next month.

  So Team USA is on the hunt for strong players that are willing to pitch in and help make this event happen. We think we've gone through the whole list of those US players who put themselves forward back in the Spring as interested in trying to qualify, so are opening it up a bit more for self-nominations. If you're interested, I'm sure you'd be a great asset to the US Team and to skipper Russ (ColumbusStorm).

  I'll second that! Great to see you jump in so willingly, Jason.

  Team USA is still seeking more players, so please post here, or let Russ (ColumbusStorm) or myself know if you're interested.

  And, of the players that did qualify, we're only now waiting on Time Availability info from Priestess and frenchconnect.

  My hope is to gather all the information on Tuesday, and confer with Team Captains then in order to set up our week 1 Fourball series matches. If all goes well and we have good overlaps of availability, I should be able to announce matches Tue/Wed with at least four days notice for any that need to take place over next weekend.
