I find the game play itself to be very consistent, however, certain setups with different winds/green speeds do effect how smooth the animations and meter run for me. I don't understand why this happens, but I deal with it. I'll have a perfect meter on STA F9 with mod wind and tourny greens, but if I play another round immediately after that with heavy wind and VF greens my meter and the animations will be choppy. It's not exactly those two combinations, just throwing those out there as an example.
