I've saved and saved but when should i start buying?

  But excuse me, it's difficult to get "3 good Ping wedges" since they dropped the 60yds (64°?) wedge of level 42 some months ago. Ping replacements are in level 18 (good?) and level 69(?) - unavailable to the OP.

  Thus, the ATV or Cleve advice seems best to me.

  No its not ; 

  Ping wedges;

  52w Lv 40 -100 yards

  56w Lv 41 - 90 yards 

  60w Lv 42 - 75 yards , punches 62 yards .

  When they get to level 60 they can upgrade to the 54w - 105 yards .

  But this all depends on if they decide to wait and get the 59+ G25 full set instead of upgrading piece by piece .

You dont have to break the bank to get good clubs . A good ball is the Level 11+ Srixon at 180 credits a sleeve . Once you reach Legend tier it will hold the greens very well and give you what you need .

  At the same time until you make your upgrades dont invest in a ball that costs over 90 credits a sleeve , to do so would only be a waste of credits . Look at the WGT balls and get you 1 from there . They will play good enough until you are ready to make your moves .

  I agree with waiting for the G25 set

  grab the ping 54 and 60 degree wedges with the ATV 64 degree. These you should get now, and figure out how far each type of shot, full,punch,pitch, etc. goes with each of them.

  Srixon is a good ball (I still use the 13+) but don't burn a bunch of credits for balls until you get updated clubs AND learn them.

  a putter with more increments will probably help you make more putts.

  Thank you for sharing your thoughts fellas this is helping me big time.  It's really interesting learning how each player approaches this. There isn't an overall right answer on any of these decisions as each person is different, but you all have very important points to consider which can be applied to each specific situation.

  Reading through each persons thought process is helping me big time and I hope is helping others as well.

  I love this putter, so if you're an "off ding" putter like myself, buy it, it's IMO the best price/performance around. But if you move the marker and ding your putts, Andy's L51 Nike would probably be the best option.

  For the rest, there are 2 ways to go about it. You can Wait for L59 (only about a month if you play daily) and get the full set at a discount price and then sell back the hybrid. For wedges, you'd be best off if you buy a 95 and a 60 y L40-ish Ping and a 77y ATV.

  The other option would be L48 R1, L59 Ping wood and L51 Nike irons. The 105y pW on those would mean you coul spread your wedges more evenly and the 60, 75 and 90y cleves would fit in your bag perfectly.

  I would personally choose the second option, although I've played with the former G20s (first clubs I bought) and they got me to legend with ease. You could easily play from the tips with them as well. I didn't even use the 3w until I reached legend tier, I played with 4 wedges instead. The lack of eagle opps on the par 5s was well compensated with the lack of need for calculations and accuracy with the wedges. They made birdies much easier. But, there were no Nike irons nor L48 275y drivers when I was coming up in the ranks ;-)

  IMO, the L35 Ghost Spider is a good value at 800 credits.

  Whatever upgrades you choose will be a quantum leap forward from the starter eqpt. As you progress, you will pay increasingly more for just a wee tiny bit better. Kind of like champagne.
