Taylor Made R9 is the longest club.  Also you need a good wind at your back and a good bounce.

The first day with the R9 I hit a 270yard drive,,,tailwind does help out, otherwise you usually will average a good 230-240 with the R9  GOOD CLUB. I have advised other people to upgrade to the R9 & have checked their stats, their Longest Drives have increased alot from where they were

The stats have not been reset since the game started last fall. In one of the original iterations of gameplay, there was a bug on Kiawah where you could aim out of bounds and the ball would bounce like hitting concrete, land back on the fairway, and you could get a 280-ish yard drive out of it. As far as I know that bug has since been fixed, but the stats resulting from it are still listed.

Given that, I use the R9 and also find it to be very good. My longest with it is 262 (just on Bethpage), and that was with a good tailwind.

yeah but even with those tricks this game is dumb, try to play the bethpage challenge with the equipment they give you....you can't even reach some of the fairways no matter where you aim.  good concept but unless they come up with yardages and equipment that jive, it's no fun.

I completely agree.  This equipment is laughable.  The Driver should be at least 250 yards with the possibility of closer to 280 (and that's just to start).  How in the world did any of you post a 70 on Bethpage Black with a Driver that can only go 240 tops and a 3-Wood that snakes in at 220??
