Today, while 24 April for most of us, is 25 April down under. ANZAC Day. To those that fought and served, to those still in service, and especially to those that paid for our freedoms with the ultimate sacrifice, a big THANK YOU. Lest We Forget.

Thank you Sammi for this post.

To the families of those in Australia and New Zealand who lost someone while serving, my deepest sympathies.  They paid the ultimate price to maintain your freedom.  To those who served and are still serving in the Australian New Zealand Army Corps, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I will bow my head to all Military Veterans, past or present. I served my time in the USAF, 10 years in fact. Always remember, All gave some, Some gave all.

On a day such as today, a thank you does not seem enough, but just know its from the heart. Lest We Forget.

Thank you to all those who served, all those who supported those who served and particular memories to all the survivors who carried the scars.

Freedom has a price, those who are willing to pay that price deserve our respect.

I am somewhat humbled by what I have read.  I was born in the middle of WW2 so wasn't involved directly (obviously) but I must have been aware as I remember, at the age of 3, boxes of oranges sent home to New Zealand from Norfolk Island, where my dad was serving.

Thank you all, for your very kind thoughts and responses.
