  Is it possible as a forum owner to award credits to members to entice them to come and play? If I purchased credits could I have those credits designated for a new sign up?

  I don't think you can gift credits, but you can gift clubs and balls to anyone. And you can send a nonmember a gift of clubs or balls and they can have them when they join.

  In addition to what Ala mentioned you can invite friends to register for the site via the link on your profile page.  When you invite a new user to WGT he or she gets a free Tour Starter driver (they MUST use the link in your invitation to join) and you get 3 free balls out of it.  If that new person goes on to deposit $10 or more then you also receive a 200 credit bonus for the referral.
