I've playing with the beginner putter because its slower than the starter. But in the equipment edit window if you check the little meter guage picture for beginner and starter they're both the same speed picture. Never really noticed how they're the same picture speed before. So ya gotta fix that.

Was wondering what I'd do with my master credits and thought of getting that gold putter thinking it would be better than the beginner I was using. The little meter speed picture is the same if you compare them. So I figure ok they're the same speed plus I get a notch and a half of precision and forgiveness plus one of balance. The beginner has just one of forgiveness and 0 for the other two. So I'm there, right on this putter's gonna rock! Same speed (it says) yet I get all this extra bonus of this precision and forgiveness and balance. Excellent.

So I just got the 200 master credits and go buy the gold putter. I get on the green and its absolutely hilarious how fast the meter zips by. OMFG I totally want a refund for completely getting the shaft how the meter pictures look the same but this one's like oh at least 10 times faster. That is not a word of a lie. Its so friggen hilarious ya gotta rent it to try out that F'n lousy gold putter. wow what a waste of my master credits. I guess all I can do now is sell it back for 5 cents and go buy a double bubble gum. wow talk about a fantastic outcome with those master credits. I want a friggen refund. You can have your crappy gold putter back. Go fix those pictures of false advertising on those meter speeds.

My Friend, on the very fast Master greens you will soon learn to hate every putter that is in play.

That is correct.  The beginner set was added just recently for new players to use during the initial tutorial and also to teach new users how to equip from one clubset to another.  They weren't intended to be used in regular play due to their complete lack of precision and low forgiveness.  They were only meant as teaching tools.

Before the beginner clubs arrived the Starter and Tour Starter putters (including the gold) were the slowest metered clubs in the game and the graphics displayed for them are correct relative to all of the other putters in the game.  The beginner putter graphic is an oversight and will need to be fixed.

Before I sold it back I compared the meter speed of the gold putter then tried the starter. Looked like the gold one was same speed as starter. I'm so used to the beginner where you can actually click in the middle didnt realize how fast the starter is. Whats the use having extra precision and forgiveness if you cant even click those in the middle most of the time. That beginner works really good compared to those because at least you can click it in the middle and then it pretty much goes where you aimed it. If its anything other than a ding click though sometimes it  be a little more off than you thought. But the way its so slow most of the time its a middle click. Any lack of forgiveness or precision is nothing so bad that the starter would be better. I don't know what other putters meter speed are like but if they're anything fast like starter, good luck trying to click in the middle.

Talked to a dude who had one of those spider putters and got him to use the beginner putter to see if it was slower meter and he said its a lot slower. Who knows, maybe its better than those fancy putters. Whats the use with extra precision and balance if you cant click in the middle.

I wish i could have scored a 70 on my second round, on the first day i joined !

This behavior is a close relation to a fire starter mingling with the crowd as his grannies house burns down
