  not really the feedback I was looking for, but entertaining none the less.....

  dont have a formula, broke my slide rule, but i figure height as one increment as 1 yard, one mph wind 1 yard any direction then i subtract 20% from that and go on.  closer to the pin less effect wind will have,  height pretty much remains constant, unless putting.  1 inch is 1foot, minus 20%.  this gets me in the ball park,  if during the game it shows to be inaccurate i make further adjustments as required.  just my 2 cents.

  A rough formula that works pretty well for me:

  wind;   4=2%

             5=3%

             7=4%

            10=5%

           12=6%

           15=7%

           17=8%

           20=10%

  I use this both up and down.  I +/- the % to the yardage you figure you need to get to the hole including what you need if you are in the rough. After you play around with this for awhile you get a feel for ajustments you need to make to suit your own game. Over 20mph you are on your own. Don't forget this is a rough guide.

  Maybe you'll sober up by then, though, and retract your offer... lol.

  I prefer to punt with the wind or fire and fall back against the wind. and hope the VEM is looking the other way at the time.
