If the alternating shot format is implemented and it is "modeled" after the Ryder Cup, it should be as follows. Two man team vs two man team. Your partner will Tee off, wherever it lands is where you hit from etc. The next Tee You will tee off and your partner will hit the next shot from whereever your ball comes to rest. It can be played in a matchplay setting or stroke setting. The stroke setting is known as Chapman golf format. Two teams, total of four people and I suppose you can play in practise mode with your choice of settings.

Hope this gives you some idea of what "alterneting shot format is all about!
