I live in Knoxville Tennessee, therefore I cannot enter ready gos or matchplay for credits. I can play online poker and lose or win as much money as I please. What is the difference in real money poker and credits on WGT? Does not make any sense to me. I wish WGT could do something about this from what I have pointed out. I am starting a petition to send to our congressman of Tennessee. Please post if you want to sign this petition, and if enough people post, I will provide a link in the very near future where you can fill out the petition. Thank you all, Rhett78

Your inability to play in those events here have absolutely nothing to do with WGT, but solely with your state legislature.  As far as your petition goes I think you have a tremendous uphill battle against your hands to make even a ripple in the pond.   However, I do wish you the best of luck though.

Online poker has nothing to do with the US at all and in fact is an issue within the US government.  Any site that you are playing real money poker games at, like FTP, are operating offshore and US laws cannot be enforced upon them on international lands.  The practice is in fact illegal, and technically you are breaking the law by playing.   Why do you think it is difficult to make deposits at these places?  Some credit cards and banks turn down the transaction.   The same holds true for online sportsbooks.  The US might as well legalize it, regulate it, and tax it, because they'll never stop it.  Although I also feel the same way regarding a certain herbal substance. ;)

Barney Frank was trying to get something passed. However, heathcare has brought congress, and common sense, to a crawl.

C'mon WGTAlex.. I hear the Cayman Islands are really nice! San Francisco is such an awful awful place, Might as well be Tennessee!

I like Barney.  Not just because I live in Mass and he pushed through an herb friendly law recently, but because he seems like a reasonable cat and actually tries get things done unlike many politicians.  I always like it when he appears on one my fav shows, Real Time with Bill Maher and it was particularly funny to watch those hearings which he chaired regarding the bailout payments.

However, those on the far right side of the political spectrum dislike him almost as much as a Clinton.
