    Hello everyone,

Welcome to the 2019 edition of the WGT Ryder Cup. As last year’s event was a relative success and many people asked for a renewal of the format, we’ll deviate from the real world Ryder Cup schedule and have a tournament again this year.

While the main concept stays the same, there will be some changes from last year. I will be joined by
f1dget and carlosdev who will not only help me with organising this event and decide on tricky questions regarding the rules, but will also put up a generous 100.000 credits prize pool along with ujjbnjk and myself. Those credits will be used for community giveaways in the live streams, a prize pool for all participants and a special prize for the tournament’s best player.

The UEL format will be spread out over the four rounds. Instead of one round exclusively assigned to UEL, we’ll have a small number of matchups played in all four rounds. While maintaining the same number of UEL rounds (10) everyone who doesn’t enjoy this feature won’t have to bother playing it this year.

The most important change is the introduction of an open qualifier after some criticism that not everyone had the chance to participate in last year’s event.

Deviating from last year’s qualifying format, we’ll have an open qualifier for everyone who wants to be a part of the two teams. You’ll have to play 12 WGT weekly tournaments over the span of three weeks (Weeks 41 to 43; see details and rules in the spreadsheet below). The best 8 rounds will be counted for your overall score and the best 3 players will earn a spot on their respective teams.

Please sign up in this thread if you want to participate in the qualifier, so we’ll be able to track your scores. Be aware that this tournament is only open to players who use the browser version of the game.

I hope everyone has a good time, keep in mind that the fun should be the priority in these events! If you have any questions or remarks, write me a PM or put them here.
