Callaway's new Mack Daddy 4 wedges include 64°

  Nothing against the Cleveland wedges.  They're still more than anything we'll ever really need here.  It's just me being a Callaway fan for real golf and seen the upcoming new model offered the 64° that was not available with the Mack Daddy forged.

  I'd really like to buy 4.0 meter wedges to match the rest of my bag, so I've been eyeing the L66-68 MD wedges.  But of course they don't offer a 64*, so I've held off.  Considering getting the 4.0 meter 56* (100 yards) and 60* (80 yards) and marrying them with the 64* (60 yards) L80 Cleveland, but maybe I'll hold off just a little longer and see if a 60 yard, 4.0 meter MD becomes available.

  IMO you're better off going with the 3 CGs you can get now. All your wedges would be the same speed (better specs, too) and it would be easier for you to manage a different speed in your bag. Having 1 wedge 1 speed and the rest of your bag another speed is going to make it easy for you to forget when you grab that wedge.

  By way of example, I have a 4.0 3W and everything else is 3.5 in my bag. That .5 difference in the 3W gets me if I don't consciously remind myself to wait for it. The 3W doesn't get used that often so it's manageable but having that problem with a club you'll use a lot isn't so good.

  For the sake of what you get with a 64W as good as the CG, maybe rethink the speed situation- 3.5 for the wedges and 4.0 for the rest. Your short game will improve dramatically.  :-)
